Dorothy M. Borkowski, age 84 of Palm City, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL. Dorothy was born August 25, 1928 in N. Madison, CT to the late William and Elizabeth (Elko) Brust. She was a Nurse for many years at the Southbury Training School in Southbury, Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 1998. Surviving are her daughters, Joanne (Paul) Sinton of Stuart, FL and Diane Belford of Bridgewater, CT; sister, Maxine Graff of Prescott, AZ; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday (4/17) from 12-1 p.m. at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home (950 SE Monterey Rd; Stuart, FL 34994) where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Carol Barron officiating. Interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, CT. Arrangements are by the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, FL.
