Dorothy died at her home in Stuart, Florida at age 91. Dorothy was born in Mandan, North Dakota to Johanna and Alexander Ferderer. She was the first born of 5 children. Ms. Bridger lead an amazing life.
In her early life, she was a US Marine! She completed boot camp at Parris Island, S.C. In 1950 with her 1 st cousin Tootie. She served proudly during the Korean Conflict. She put herself through college while raising 5 children alone. She graduated with 2 degrees in 1968 from Black Hills State College in S.D. She taught business at vocational schools in Minnesota and Iowa. She also taught business classes at Chugwater and Wheatland High Schools in Wyoming. Teaching through the 1970's and into the early 1980's. She met the love of her life, Harold Kennedy during that time. She changed careers, becoming a top Century 21 real estate agent and broker in Kingman, AZ.
Beloved by her 5 surviving children, Brenda Lee (Michael) Gitschlag of Sylvania, GA, Roswell Carter (Skip) Bridger, Jr. of Stuart, FL, Deborah Rose ( Darwin) Moore of Edgewater, FL., Theresa Ann Schuldies of Cheyenne, WY, and Steven Mark(Kate) Bridger of Delray Beach, FL. Also her 5 grandchildren, Renee Raison of Lake Stevens, WA, Dynee (Ryan) Colosimo of Sasabo, Japan, Chad (Michelle) Moore of Port Orange, FL, Stacey Johnston of Greeley, CO, and Kiel Bridger of Boynton Beach, FL and 4 great grandchildren, Katlynn, Brianna, Daniel, and Curren.
She is also survived by her sisters Elaine Flynn of Wilton, N.D., and Shirley (Leonard) Summer of Mt. Shasta, CA. and her sister-in-law Gayle Ferderer of Sundance, WY. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Harold, her sister Rosalie Kroger, her brother Donald Ferderer, her half brother Lee Ferderer, her two brother-in-law's Max Flynn and Bill Kroger, her nephew Tom Kroger and niece Colleen Morgan.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in Dorothy's name to the Navy Marine Relief Society, nmcrs.org.
Dorothy will be cremated, she will be interred with military honors at the National Cemetery in Mandan, N.D.
