Dorothy Marie Hale, 67, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.

Born in Long Branch, New Jersey she had been a resident of Stuart, for 43 years after receiving her teaching degree at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York.

Prior to her retirement she taught high school math and science in West Palm Beach, Florida.

She is survived by three sisters, Elora Jeanette Morawitz and her husband, Skip of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Joanne Lynn Bartz and her husband, Hollis of Elkhorn, Nebraska, and Dawn Susan Heller of West Islip, New York; two brothers, Charles J. Hale and his wife, Sara of CDO, Philippines, and James O. Hale of Berlin, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Herron and Alice Marie Hale.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the Stuart Alliance Church, 445 SE Osceola Street, Stuart, Florida 34994.

Interment will take place at the Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Micanopy, Florida on Wednesday, March 30th at 12 noon.
