Dorothy (Dotty) Battersby Paight, 92, passed away on April 24, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida, after a 5 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Dotty was born in New York City but lived most of her life in Stamford, CT. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1941 and served for many years on the Class of '41 Reunion Committee. Dotty worked in real estate while living in Stamford, working her way up from secretary to Broker/Agent.
She and her husband Ralph retired to Palm City, Florida, in 1985 where they continued to enjoy their love of boating. Dotty was an avid tennis player and enjoyed traveling and summer vacations with family and friends on their lovingly restored Chris Craft, appropriately named "Dotty". She also spent many years volunteering at Martin Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop.
Dotty is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ralph, children Donald Paight (Nina) and Donna Ackermann (Alan), four grandchildren Steven Ackermann (Andrea), Kelly Ackermann, Christopher Paight, Kathryn Paight Randall (John) and 5 great-grandchildren.
