Douglas Evans Bayer, 57, of Stuart, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.

Mr. Bayer was born in Norwalk, CT, and had been a resident of Stuart, FL for thirty years, coming from Fort Lauderdale, FL.

He was a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, and was a former Vice President of American Bank for fifteen years. He also owned and operated Douglas E. Bayer Real Estate Appraisal Service, in Stuart, FL. He was a member and the Past President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Stuart.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Dana Windridge Bayer of Stuart, FL; daughter Jennifer Dana Aultman of Stuart, FL; son Douglas Evans Bayer, Jr., of Stuart, FL; father Francis J. Bayer of Millbrook, NY and mother Joan Gastman of Stuart, FL; and two granddaughters; Karlee Aultman and Ava Aultman of Stuart, FL.

Services: At the request of the family, a private memorial service will be held.
