Douglas Dale Duimstra, 67, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away, Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, Florida after a courageous three year battle with cancer.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he moved to Lake Worth, Florida, in 1957. He attended Lake Worth Christian Church & School and graduated from Lake Worth High. He was a Palm Beach County Paramedic and later became affiliated with the Arnold Bread Company.

Doug moved to Phoenix, Arizona, approximately thirty years ago where he drove eighteen wheelers from Phoenix to California. He returned to his home state September, 2015.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and anything dealing with cars.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew Duimstra and his wife, Tia of Lake Worth and Adam Duimstra and his wife, Tory of Delray Beach, Florida; one daughter, Dawn Duimstra-Davis and her husband, Vinney also of Lake Worth; his brother, Daniel Duimstra of Marathon, Florida; his sister, Dawn Drake and her husband, Tom of Jensen Beach; his niece, Coral; and his seven wonderful grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister Debra K. Duimstra who passed away May 19th of this year.
