E. James Murphy, Jr. age 70 of Palm City, FL passed away on March 13, 2024, after a brief hospitalization at Cleveland Clinic Martin North in Stuart FL.

James was born on August 11, 1953, in West Haven CT. He was the son of Eddie James Murphy and Eloise Herring. He has been a resident of Palm City, FL for six years coming from Providence, RI where he and Regina met and married.

Prior to retiring he was an insurance agent with Combined Insurance an independent financial advisor for Dean Witter Morgan Stanley, and former Teamster.

James is survived by his wife, Regina Correa-Murphy, his son Frederick William Murphy, daughter-in-law, Newsilath (Noy), cherished grandchildren Frederick William Jr and Olivia Ida of Lawrenceville, GA, his brother Edmund White and sister-in-law Penny of Augusta GA, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters Anita Murphy, Dorothy Murphy, Etta Murphy Farris-McKnight, and nephew Andre T. Murphy.
