Eduardo (aka Eddy) Carus, 63, died on April 28th.
Born on June 8, 1952 in La Habana, Cuba to Antonio Carus and Silvia Aurora Carus (ne Donato); Eddy emigrated to the U.S in 1961 at age 9 and lived in Woodside, NY until his late 20's. Living in Las Vegas for two years, he later moved to the Miami /Ft. Lauderdale area where he lived for 20 years. Stuart has been home for the past 15 years.
Eddy was musically talented and learned to play and reconstruct guitars on his own at age 16. He played in numerous bands in NY and everywhere he lived. In Stuart, he played for numerous gospel services for LAHIA ministries.
A very spiritual individual, Eddy, attended a number of local churches where he displayed great compassion and kindness for those in need. He was also an active member of several Bible studies groups; bringing a charismatic perspective to the discussions. He always gave full credit to the Holy Spirit as his source of revelation. He encouraged others to dig deeper and surrender to the One who had a better plan for our lives.
Eddie had a love of basketball and was an avid player for many years. He followed the NBA playoffs until he was hospitalized.
He is predeceased by his father, Antonio Carus. He is the father of three daughters and a grandfather of eight.
A Memorial Service will be held at....LAHIA 1760 Salerno Road Stuart, FL. at 7:30pm on May 24th all are welcomed. A Funeral Mass will follow in Ridgewood, NJ.
