Edward S. Lenehan, 89, of Stuart, Florida, died May 10, 2015 surrounded by his family.
He was born in New York, New York. He raised his family in Bellmore, New York, and later was a resident of Stuart, Florida for thirty-three years.
Edward served our country as a Marine in World War II in Iwo Jima. He graduated from Iona College and went on to have a career in law enforcement, first with the NYC Police Department, and then as a Special Agent with the FBI. He later worked as a Vice President of Security for Brinks Inc.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Marjorie (Ward).
Ed is survived by his five children, Gary Lenehan, Terri Hollinsworth, Joyce Kelly, Edward Lenehan, and Marjorie Keane, and their spouses; two sisters, Agnes Smith and Mary Farrell; as well as sixteen loving grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
He is also survived by his red Lexus car, which he enjoyed and cared for as much as he did his family. In his later years he got great enjoyment playing golf, getting car washes, and spending time with his family.
