Edward Malinowski, age 89, of Palm City, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2017. Ed was born on October 21, 1928 to the late Joseph and Genevieve (Bujny) Malinowski. He was a resident of Palm City and Hobe Sound, Florida over the last several years off and on. He also spent a lot of years in Harrison City, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Wyoming and the U.S.S. Missouri.
Ed officially retired in 1993 from his position as Director of Business Development at Comstock Group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was offered a consultant position after his retirement with a company based in Thailand and he decided to experience the world and continue to work a little more at this time. He and his wife, Marylou, lived and experienced the wonderful culture of Thailand for several years before he officially retired.
Some of his fondest memories and stories were of the many travels his work took him to. Over his last years, Ed's hobbies included cooking, reading, playing cards and watching his beloved Steelers. The most important times of his last years were spent with his lifelong love, Marylou and his treasured brother, Larry. The joy and laughter over these last years were a blessing to all. Being sports oriented, Ed was especially proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow and play in all varieties of sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joseph, and his beloved and only son Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Marylou, of Palm City; his brother Larry, of Lake Worth, Florida; his daughters, Sue of Follansbee West Virginia, Cheryl of Capistrano Beach, California and Judy of Lake Conroe, Texas. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family from the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory of Stuart.
