Edward J. Sheridan passed away peacefully, at his home in Florida, on January 26, 2017. He was 85 years old. Edward was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, the son of Edward and Agnes Sheridan. He was a US Marine Corp veteran and fought in the Korean War. He worked as a chef for many years, before going into the roofing and siding business prior to retirement.
He spent his summers in Cape Vincent on the water and his winters in Florida. Edward loved to fish, spend time on his boat and cook for his family and friends. He was a friend of Bills for over 25 years. He was loved and respected by his family and many friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his son, David and his grandson, James.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Nancy and his devoted sister, Marie, of Syracuse , NY (and her two sons, Ed and Bob). He was the loving father of Patty Bergsbaken (Bart), Maureen Dabrowski (Eddie), Edward Jr. (Amy), David (Ellen), Marcia Bugglin (Jim),Michael, Colleen Rosekrans (John), Laura Long (Jeffrey), Bridget Sheridan and Julie Bliss. Proud Grandfather to Erin, Joe, Danny, Katie, Tim, Cassidy, Brendon, Liam, Douglas, Eve, Dorothy, Brandie, David, Meghan, Shannon, Alexis, Ryan, Eddie, David, William and great-grandfather to Chasetin, Kenny, Tristan, Cole, Zachary, Bo and Devon.
A life celebration will be planned, at a later date, in the spring in Syracuse, NY with family and friends.
