Edward J. Taylor, II, 79 of Stuart passed away January 24, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice.
He was born on August 2, 1936 in Winchendon, MA he was the son of Louis Joseph and Helen Henrietta (Coderre) Taylor.
Edward enlisted with the U. S. Marine Corps and served in Korea September 14, 1954 to March 24, 1955. He also had served in the New Hampshire National Guard.
He moved to Stuart 27 years ago from New Hampshire. Edward was a chef and had worked for Martin Health Systems at Martin Hospital South for 10 years. He had also worked for Gentleman Jim's; Albertson's; Stuart Nursing & Restorative Care and Sand Piper Cluster.
Prior to moving to Florida, he worked at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center and met his wife, Mary Beth. Together, they owned and operated Margie's Restaurant in Jaffey, NH.
Edward was a Roman Catholic and a member of John Humiston Post 11 of the American Legion in NH.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Taylor of Stuart; daughter, Bethany Laney (Troy) of Winchendon, MA;uncle,Edward Taylor; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald L. Taylor.
