Edward Paul "Ted" Sweeney, 33, of Stuart, Florida, passed away December 24, 2014, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart, after a long illness.
Born in Rockville, Connecticut, he had been a resident of Stuart for 28 years, coming from Ellington, Connecticut as a small child, then moving to Stowe, Vermont, and ultimately to Stuart.
Prior to his illness, Ted was in the construction industry. He loved to snow ski, at which he learned at a very young age while living in Vermont. He also loved to fish for Snook and Salmon .
Survivors include his mother, Laurie Schneider of Stuart; his father, David Sweeney, also of Stuart; his maternal grandfather, Wilbur Schneider, of Rittman, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Katherine Sweeney Baugher, of Alexandria, Ohio; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Schneider, and his paternal grandfather, John Sweeney.
A service to Celebrate his Life will be held, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home , 950 SE Monterey Road Stuart, Florida 34994, where the family will receive friends after 3:00pm
