Eileen L. (Lennek) Dunbar, of St. Lucie West, Florida, beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. Dunbar, Jr., passed away 05/08/2017. Eileen was born and raised in Lansingburgh, N.Y. where she met her husband while he was attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They spent most of their lives in South Windsor, Connecticut before moving to Florida to retire. Their marriage of 56 years was filled with love and laughter. She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Ross Dunbar, Jr., and son Kenneth Ross Dunbar, III. She is survived by three children; David A. Dunbar (Kathleen Heimerman) of San Anselmo, California; Elizabeth M. Dunbar of St. Lucie West, Florida; and Susan A. Dunbar (Todd McGee) of Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts; a brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Pat Dunbar, of Kennesaw, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Julie Malachwiej Dunbar, of Napa California; and her five grandchildren: Graham, Amanda, Jeffrey, Chlo«, and Ava, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends meant the world to Eileen. She had a knack for making everyone feel welcome and at home. She was an amazing mother and she will be missed tremendously. A private celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
