Eileen Platte, 92, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on October 15, 2019 at her home.

Born in Queens, New York, she had been a resident of Stuart for a little over a year after living in Lake Worth, Florida for many years.

She was an avid traveler and loved to be around her family. An avid Scrabble player, she was known for her sharp wit and kept up on current news events and history. She was married to her husband Albert Platte for 39 years before he passed away in 1990.

Survivors include her daughter Betsy Johnson, a Los Angeles attorney, and her son, longtime journalist Mark Platte and his wife Sara of Laguna Niguel, CA; her grandchildren, Nicholas Randall Johnson of Stuart, Brianna Marcial and her husband Diego of Huntington Beach, CA and Christopher Platte of Laguna Niguel, CA; her brother, Donald Trusch of Lake Worth, Florida, and sister Joan Kelley of Yorktown Heights, NY.  She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Trusch of S. Windsor, CT and sister Rosemarie Fiori of Staten island, NY

Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY with her husband on Friday, October 25, 2019.
