Elizabeth Catherine Occhiuzzo, 74, of Hobe Sound, Florida, passed away suddenly in her home on Friday, May 23, 2014.
Born, September 29, 1939, in Middletown, New York, she had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 11 years, coming from West Palm Beach, Florida
She was a loving and devoted mother to her four children, Carolyn Occhiuzzo and her husband, Buster, of San Antonio, Texas, Anthony F. Occhiuzzo, Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Donna Occhiuzzo-Amarescu and her husband, Jeff, of Loxahatchee, Florida, and Angela Occhiuzzo-Kungla and he husband, Mel, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
She will also be missed by her four grandchildren, Alison, Ashley, Amber and Nicholas.
Liz studied Nursing at the Caledonian Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Brooklyn, New York, and continued her studies in South Florida. She was a graduate of North Technical Institute in 1979, with her Degree in Nursing.
She was a dedicated nurse and cared for all of her patients and took such wonderful care of them. She also practiced nursing in Private Duty Care. She was so loved by not only her patients, but also by all of her patient's family members. They all knew that Liz would be there and take such great care of their loved one with the utmost respect and professionalism as a nurse and loving care as a true friend.
She will be missed and loved so dearly by all who knew her.
She was a beautiful woman in this world and has become an Angel to watch over us.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994, where the Family will receive friends after 2:00 pm.
