Ellen Halstead of the Brennity in Tradition, previously from Hobe Sound FL, died June 20th after enduring Alzheimers for many years.

Born March 27, 1929 to Lena and Francis Mc Nally in Teaneck,NJ. She lived in Hicksville, Long Island, where she raised her children and worked for Grumman Aerospace. She married Robert Halstead in 1977 and relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, FL where she was a member of the Women of the Moose and volunteered at the local elementary school media center.

She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Halstead, daughters; Cathleen Mazzola (John pre-deceased), Maureen( Steve ) Kartrude, son; James (Leeann) Dolan. Grandchildren; Ryan (Jennifer) Dolan, Katie Dolan and Samantha Dolan. Great grandchildren; Chloe Dolan, Xander Dolan, Rocco Dolan and Baby H. Dolan, "who will be arriving soon". Mrs. Halstead is pre-deceased by her step children; Robert (Barbara Jean) Halstead Jr. and Lisa Halstead.

A celebration of life will be held at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 2-3 PM with services following with Pastor L.C. Campbell officiating. A reception for Family & Friends will be conducted following the service at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home Lounge.
