Ellen Hamann, 78, of Stuart, Florida passed peacefully at her home on October 27, 2025.

A proud New Yorker raised in the Bronx, Ellen left the City at a young age and traveled the world as the spouse of an Air Force Officer. From the Philippines to Germany, a short time in Iran, and many different States, Ellen embraced the challenge of raising her two sons while picking up and moving to the next base. She proudly volunteered and worked for several organizations including the American Red Cross and the Air Force Aid Society. She was a wonderful chef, had an amazing green thumb, and thoroughly enjoyed cruises, travel and time spent with her family and friends. Ellen's faith was extremely important to her, and she left this life in the full embrace of her savior Jesus Christ.

Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Wilfred (Bill) Hamann, and her parents, Paul and Carmen Higgins. Survivors include her children, Stephen Ball (Kristin), Bethann Vidmar (Bob), David Ball (Sarah), John Hamann (Jane), David Hamann (Missy); her brothers, Arthur (Art) Higgins (Lori), Paul Higgins, Jr. (Angela); and her prior husband, Michael Ball (Mary Ann). She was an adoring grandmother to Jenna, Kailyn, and Elena Ball, Melody Vidmar, Davis Hamann, and Anna Kate Smith (Brody).

Finally, the Family would like to thank Ellen's dear friends who supported her during her 18 month long battle with cancer, and would like to acknowledge the tremendous care offered to her from Treasure Coast Hospice and her dedicated team of caregivers from Safe Homecare.
