Eugene Robert Kuyers, 87, died peacefully in his Florida home surrounded by his family on October 6, 2020. He was born April 22, 1933 in Robinson Township, Michigan, the son of Albert and Gladys (Martinie) Kuyers.

Gene graduated from Zeeland High School in 1952. Soon after graduation he married Marjorie, the love of his life, and celebrated 67 years together this past July. He worked as a tool and die maker in Grand Rapids, Michigan until he retired.

Gene is best remembered for his unwavering love and trust in God and His Word, devotion to his wife and family, and his passion to see others begin and grow in a personal relationship with Christ. Other interests included fishing and rose gardening, singing, and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Norman Wiggers. Surviving is his wife, Marjorie (Koen), daughter Debbie (Mark) McGoldrick, son Dan (Nanci) Kuyers; grandchildren, Melissa, Matt, Ashley, Karlee, Graham, Kelsey, and Morgan; great grandchildren, Maddox, Joshua, Hazel, Levi, Rowan, and Elijah; brother David (Jan) Kuyers and sister Karan Wiggers.

A celebration of life service will be held October 10, 2020 at 1:00pm at Nettles Island Church, Jensen Beach, Florida.
