Evelyn Thompson
Evelyn Thompson, Age 90, of Port St. Lucie passed away peacefully on January 23, 2015.
During World War II Evelyn was employed as a legal secretary with the United States Army and was sent to work at the Pentagon in Washington DC. Following the war she returned to New York where she met her husband Richard (deceased) and became a homemaker and mother of two children. Evelyn later returned to work as a legal secretary with the Department of the Navy where she retired at the age of 62. In retirement Evelyn loved to travel. She became an active member of the Bible Study Group at the First Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie. Evelyn also spent many hours doing embroidery making beautiful table cloths for her family. She leaves behind two children: daughter - Lorraine Prussing (husband Wesley) of Palm City and Son - Richard Thompson (wife Rita) of Austin Texas along with four grandchildren Daniel Thompson, Gregory Thompson, Melissa Prussing Novoa and Rachel Prussing.
Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Service: A funeral Mass will be held on February 6th at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City Florida 34990.
