IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances M
Beedy
June 8, 1946 – March 7, 2026
Ms. Frances M. "Fran" Beedy, age 79, ascended to her heavenly home Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Pt. St. Lucie, FL.
She was born June 8, 1946 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Rufus and Ruby McGuirt. Fran leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and deep love for her family and friends. Fran was known by everyone who met her as one of the kindest souls you could ever know. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and positive outlook touched countless lives.
She was a loving mother and is survived by her three children: Tommie Pope, Jr. (Mia), Tami Pope Norsworthy (the late Christopher Norsworthy), and Robert Pope.Fran was also a proud and devoted grandmother to Whitney Pope, Tyler Pope, Christiana Pope, Sarah Boris, Rosie Pope (Cassie), Jacobe Norsworthy (Casie), Ryan Norsworthy, and Stephen Norsworthy, as well as great grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
She is also survived by her brother, Robert McGuirt (Karen), her niece Michelle (Dave), nephew Corey, and many great, and even great-great nieces and nephews.
Fran loved her family deeply, and nothing made her happier than having her children and grandchildren gathered around her. Her home was often the center of family holidays and celebrations, where she welcomed everyone with warmth, laughter, and incredible home-cooked meals. She was an amazing cook and especially loved baking for those she cared about.
Friendship meant the world to Fran. She maintained many close friendships throughout her life and was especially gifted at staying connected with those who lived far away. She never missed sending a birthday card or a thoughtful note for special occasions, making the people in her life feel remembered and loved. Fran also enjoyed crocheting and was part of a group of women who lovingly crocheted hats and blankets for cancer patients and veterans. Through this work, she quietly shared her compassion and kindness with people she may never have met but deeply cared about.
Fran was a woman who always saw the best in everyone. Her positive spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her made the world a better place.
She left us far too soon and will be missed deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her and love her.
