Francisco Ponga, also known as Frank peacefully passed away April 25th 2018, at age 73. He moved to Palm City, Florida from New York City 24 years ago and was recently living at the CLC of the VA hospital WPB.
Frank proudly served our country as a US Marine and received the Vietnamese Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (two awards) and National Defense Service Medal.
Frank attended East Carolina College in 1965.
He is a retired power technician for New York Bell.
Frank was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Ponga;  son, . Stephen Ponga,  his nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, April 27, 2018 with a Prayer Service at 12 Noon at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart 34994.  A Committal Service will be at 2:15 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL with military honors provided by the US Marine Corps.
