Obituary

Fred was born July 21, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. He died February 24, 2013. His parents were Alfred and Helen Shamie. He went to Burns School, Holy Cross Lutheran School, and short stay at Cadillac middle school. He lived in Detroit until he was fifteen. After his dad died he moved with his family to Rochester, Michigan with his mom, his brother, Charlie and his sister, Mary. There he went to Rochester Adams High. Because of a terrible mixed up family life he had, he wanted to just get away from all of it. As his long time best friend, Clifford Gushen, who stuck with him to the end, put it, he was eccentric. Charlie always agreed. Mary always said you don't meet Fred you experience him. When our mom died he moved to Florida never to go back to his home again. He wanted to make a life there in Florida. And he did just that. He loved the simple things in life. Camping, fishing, hunting and anything like that. He would rather sleep by the seashore and wake up to watch the beautiful sunrise in the morning. That's what gave him peace of mind; he would do anything to help anyone no matter what it was. He was a good guy. For years he worked construction then at Dolphins for the rest of his life. Now he went home to be with the Lord in the life hereafter or heaven and he is with mom and dad. He now can see the other side of things he was never able to see before. He can reconcile with his dad. He can meet his unborn brother or sister. He can meet his aunt Mickey and hopefully get things straight with her. He can meet his friends that left before he did Eric Wisner, Tim Eagle, John and Nellie Cornutt who loved him like their own son, and also his dog Snoopy that he loved so much. Also I would like to thank Clifford for picking up Fred's remains and Joanie (our cousin) for coming forward and going in with me on Fred's urn. Fred, you will always be missed by all of us!
