Frederick MacPherson, age 85 of Hobe Sound, FL passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Jupiter Hospital Pavilion in Jupiter, FL under Hospice care. Fred was born March 4, 1928 in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Fred and Doris (Frost) MacPherson. After graduation, Fred proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Along with his wife, Fred came to FL from Goffstown, NH in 1986. In his spare time, Fred was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover, MA, playing nearly every day. On September 10, 1949 in Haverhill, MA, Fred was united in marriage to his loving and devoted wife, Ruth (Turner) MacPherson, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Fred (Vicki) MacPherson of East Hampstead, NH and Stephen MacPherson of Hobe Sound, FL; his daughter, Bonnie (Richard) Barnsley of Bedford, NH; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Lovering and a grandson, Michael MacPherson. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will take place in NH at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
