Gaetano Romano, 76, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home in Sandpiper.
Affectionately known as "Tom", he was born in Sicily, and had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie, since 1996, coming from Long Island New York.
Prior to his retirement Tom was a Building Contractor working in construction in New York City.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Joan Romano of Port Saint Lucie; his daughter, Cathy Goldenberg and her husband, Rod of Boynton Beach, Florida; two brothers, Peter Romano and his wife Carmela of Queens, New York, and Maurizio Romano and his wife Margherita of Nesconset, New York; four sisters, Giovanna Triana of Sicily, Cristina Capizzi of Queens, New York, Giuseppa Maggio and her husband, Cologero of Queens, New York, and Elena Barcellona and her husband Giuseppe, of Queens, New York; one granddaughter, Jennifer Kavouklis and her husband Matthew of Cooper City, Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Kellen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:30am at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34962. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Florida.
