Gail Ann White, age 73, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Sunday, November, 1, 2015, after battling lung cancer. Born in Bay City, Michigan on February 9, 1942, she was one of six children born to the late Elmer and Marguerite White. She moved to Florida in 1952.

She is survived by Michael J. Moloney and their wonderful children, Doreen (Jerry) Furnari, Coleen (Larry) Bright and Edmund (Karen) Moloney, their five fabulous grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Morgan, Jennifer and Alexandria, her siblings, Jerry (Gloria) White, Barbara (Edward) Schultz and Ralph (Mary Beth) White. brother-in-law, William Baker, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The first people she'll greet in heaven are her parents and her sister, Lorraine Baker, and brother, Elmer White.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered as creative, entrepreneurial, spiritual, kind, loving, compassionate, forgiving and forgiven.

Gail graduated from Palm Beach High School and attended Palm Beach Junior College. After wedding Michael J. Moloney in 1961, they relocated to Tallahassee, Florida, and later settled in Miami, Florida, where they raised their children.

Gail's artistic nature was a constant thread throughout her life. She became interested in arts and crafts when she joined a group at church which taught participants how to make Christmas tree ornaments out of egg shells. That expanded to joining an egg decorating club. She then discovered that others around the country also enjoyed this egg decorating hobby and attended various conventions and competitions. She often won first place with her Faberge-inspired (he made the famous jeweled eggs for the Russian Czarina) jeweled decorated eggs of all kinds, including chicken, duck, emu and ostrich eggs.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish a home-based mail order business selling egg decorating supplies to crafters from all around the country. That blossomed into growing her business by opening a comprehensive arts and craft store, "Gail's Decorative Arts Studio," one of Miami's largest and best full service arts and crafts stores in South Florida.

In 1982, Gail relocated to West Palm Beach where she owned and operated Mail Room Systems, a full service packing, shipping and business services company. Inspired by the hospice care provided to her father, she also became a hospice volunteer, which sparked her interest in studying nursing. She enrolled in nursing school and after graduation worked for Hospice of Palm Beach County for 12 years. After relocating to Stuart, she worked in crisis care for Treasure Coast Hospice until her retirement in 2012.

Through all these years, Gail's artistic character continued to blossom. She was always looking for creative outlets. She enjoyed crafting with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of a rubber stamping club, began a rubber stamp business with her sister, and loved to paint. She also sold hand-made jewelry at Original Elements located in Tequesta. Inspired by her mom, her daughter, Coleen, carries on this jewelry-making enterprise.

After battling lung cancer, Gail became a hospice patient herself. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care the doctors, nurses and staff from Treasure Coast Hospice provided to her and her family.

A spiritual woman, Gail was active with the Unity Church of Jensen Beach.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 950 S.E. Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida, where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow the service.

Misericordia is a very special organization which provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities, where her niece is a resident.
