Genevieve Ann Woodson, 75, died on July 24, 2017 in Stuart, Florida. She was born April 10, 1942 in Stuart, the daughter of Warren L. and Genevieve Merritt.
She graduated from Martin County High School 1960. In 1961 Ann married Winston C. Woodson. Together they served God and their community. Ann and Winston were the initial house parents for Trovers Boys Ranch off of Cove Road (now Samaritan House for Boys) and served there for 22 years making a vital and positive difference in the lives of many young boys and their families.
Ann retired from the Martin County School Board as a food service worker at Port Salerno Elementary School.
Ann had been an active long-time member of Salerno Southern Methodist Church serving as Sunday School and VBS teacher, pianist, organist, church secretary and in many other capacities throughout the years. In the last few years she attended Hobe Sound Bible Church working with the boys' ministry there.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Winston C. Woodson on June 25, 2014; brother Neil Merrritt and survived by sister, Vivian Mercurio; brother, Vernon Merritt; niece, Cheryl Black; a nephew, Julian Andrews and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews.".
No services are scheduled at this time, burial will be private.
