George (Czach)
Corno
Apr 25, 1943 — Aug 22, 2018
Stuart
George (Czach) Corno died August 22, 2018 at his home. Czach was born April 25, 1943 to George and Victoria Corno in Brooklyn, New York. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Lisa Blackman Corno of Stuart, Florida. Predeceased by his first wife Stephanie Campbell, parents Gracie & Archie (as he affectionately called them), his sister Arlene Potts, brother-in-law Jesse Blackman and sister-in-law Andrea Kling. Survived by favorite niece Lois Potts, brother-in-law Doug Blackman (Lynne), and brother-in-law Richard Kling. Czach's brilliant mind, creative passion, and compassionate heart were the cornerstones of his exceptional life. As an artist (painter and writer) Czach helped start SoHo through the A.I.R. (Artist-in-Residence) program during the 60s. He provided un-credited conceptual work to Stanley Kubrick for his ground breaking movie "2001: A Space Odyssey". He was an avid tennis player, enjoyed sailing his yacht and Dune Striding at his Sanctuary.
Being over doing: Czach believed that who you were as a person was always more important than what you did. Lisa relates that it was love at first sight and recounts their first date in a love note she wrote to Czach in 2011:
I opened the door to your home
And all my dreams came true.
My heart opened to an enchanted world
A world filled with
Passion and love
Truth and integrity
Laughter and beauty
Wisdom and understanding
Boundless energy and soft quietness
In your hands
I found a strength I never knew I had
In your eyes
I saw a beauty I never knew I possessed
In your love
My world blossomed and expanded
How can I ever express how dear you are to me
My sweet love.
I can only thank the universal wisdom
That led me to lie blissfully in your arms forever.
I know you by heart and will miss you always. My only peace is that I know you are now seeing the cosmos as you always wanted.
