IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George Thomas
Myers
February 1, 1954 – March 11, 2021
George Thomas Myers passed away peacefully at age sixty-seven (67) on March 11, 2021 with his beloved wife Jeanne, and his two sisters by his side at the Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital.
George was born February 1, 1954 in St Louis, Missouri, and lived there for the next nineteen years. He moved to South Florida 48-years ago living mainly in Miami, Key Largo, and for the last twenty years, in Stuart, Florida.
George enjoyed his South Florida lifestyle with a passion for fishing, boating, and windsurfing. This love of the outdoors was reflected in his chosen professional endeavors, property maintenance within the hospitality industry, always choosing to be affiliated with beachfront or waterfront resorts with sector leaders like The Marriott Corporation, Hilton Hotels, and The Islander Resort, in Islamorada, Florida.
George had a strong interest in, and a deep respect for, all living things. As a boy, he especially loved going out to his Uncle Ollie's farm, in Dixon, Missouri. He had a soft spot for all animals, (just ask the many squirrels at his Stuart home) and a special affection for Coco, his cockatiel of twenty years, and Spooky, his faithful canine companion of many years. And who among his many friends will ever forget his love of mechanical gadgets and toys.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norma Louise Myers, and Thomas Myers.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-two wonderful years, Jeanne Patricia Myers.
George is also survived by sisters, Tamara (Tammy) Ann Giubardo and husband Warren Gazell; Candice (Candy) Kay O'Connor and husband Ian A. O'Connor, and sister/cousin Kim Ann Mica; his loving niece April Ann Arthur-Gonzalez and husband Javier Gonzalez, and his two much-loved grandnieces, Eden Grace, and Kayla Ann.
George is also survived by his uncle Oliver Myers, in St. Louis, Missouri, along with numerous loving cousins and their spouses.
George was dearly loved by family and friends, and he will be missed by those who knew him. We will always remember his wonderful, contagious smile, and he will live forever in our hearts.
