George Richard Hicks, III, 39, of Stuart, Florida, passed away Sunday October 16, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.

Affectionately known as "Rich", he was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts and had been a Florida resident for five years coming from Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Prior to relocating, Rich was a Bog Worker, harvesting Cranberries in Massachusetts. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and the beach.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaylee Hicks of Onset, Massachusetts; his fiance, Cassandra Day of Hyannis, Massachusetts; his mother and step-father, Barbara and Mark Hufnagel, Sr. of Stuart; four brothers, Adam Hufnagel of Barnstable, Massachusetts, Nathan Hufnagel of Onset, Joel Hufnagel of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Mark Hufnagel, Jr. of Stuart.; one sister, Georgeanna Hicks of Taunton, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Rich's Life will be held on Cape Cod during the month of July 2017.
