Obituary
Gerald "Gery" Alexandre, affectionately called Tonton "G" of Port Saint Lucie Florida, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, passed away on December 22, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1935, in Chardonnières, Haiti to Marie Angele Bealieu Alexandre and Murat Alexandre. He was the eldest of four children. After the passing of his father at the tender age of four, Gerald was faced with adversity in which he needed to take on more responsibilities in assisting his mother with his younger siblings. Through his adolescent years, Gerald worked tirelessly to support his mom with household expenses.
Gerald would later move to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where he met and married his beloved wife Marie Thérèse France on August 9th, 1969, and later migrated to the United States and started a family. Gerald worked at St. Lukes's Hospital as a parking attendant, while attending classes at night to gain his license as an HVAC Technician, and later transitioned to a position at St. Luke's Hospital and worked his way up to HVAC Foreman, until his retirement in 1998.
Following his retirement, Gerald and his wife relocated to Hollywood, Florida. Gerald loved to keep himself busy, so he worked as Security Guard and School Crossing Guard until deciding to fully enjoy his remaining retirement years with his wife at his side and relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Gerald had a booming personality, loved life, traveling and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was proud of his Haitian heritage and made sure to instill that in his children. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie T. Alexandre, his children Huguette A. Mars, Donald Alexandre (Michelle), and Renette Euzebe (Rodney). His grandchildren Sanaa Donae Alexandre, Shane London Alexandre, Dominique Ashley Euzebe and Caleb Matthew Euzebe. His sister Gabrielle Alexandre. His nieces Nadine Downing (Steve), Patricia Marcel (Emmanuel), Graziella Deschineau and Peggy Brown (Franklin). His nephews Marc Rodney and Gary Rodney (Joan), great nieces and nephews, along with a host of family and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his brother Marcel "Bolane" Alexandre, his sister Suzanne Deschineau, his nephew Reginald Alexandre, his brother-in-law Roger Deschineau, and son-in-law LeslySerge Mars.
Sleep well Gery (Tonton G), may light perpetual shine upon you forever.
