Geraldine Portante, 83, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away on November 8, 2023 after a long illness. She was born on June 17, 1940 in New York, NY to Ernest and Lena Eidam.

Geraldine was raised in Bronx, New York where she also met the love of her life, Richard Portante. They married in 1961 and were blessed with over 62 wonderful years together. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her two children, Richard Portante Jr. and Christine Caputo, as well as her two grandchildren, Scott and Daniel Caputo.

Geraldine worked as a nurse for many years before taking time to raise her family. She later devoted herself to helping make the family swimming pool business successful. After Geraldine and Richard retired to Jensen Beach, FL, she spent her free time volunteering for various organizations and helping those in need. She had a caring spirit and warm smile that lit up every room.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 16 at 11 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church where she was a devoted parishioner. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Treasure Coast Hospice.

Geraldine will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humor, and dedication to her family. She touched countless lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
