Memorial Services for Glenda Fay Breitling, age 68, will be held at 1:00PM EST on Saturday, September 27th at Christian Victory Center Church of God, 2205 SW 96th Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
Glenda was a longtime resident of Clinton, Oklahoma, before moving to Palm City, Florida in 2010.
Glenda passed away on Saturday, September 20th in her daughter's home in Palm City. She was born on January 30th, 1946 in Clinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd Herbert and Gracie Glennabell Arter.
She attended Clinton High School, Clinton, Oklahoma and married Melvin Ray Breitling on May 9, 1964.
Glenda's work experience included retail management, hotel management, battered women's shelter, and banking. Glenda had been enjoying retirement for several years.
She enjoyed reading, walks on the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. Glenda has been a member of Christian Victory Center Church of God in Stuart, for 4 years. Prior to that she was a member of First Church of God in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, was her husband of 38 years, Melvin Breitling, and her sister, Florence Cooksey.
Survivors include her three daughters, Janice and Keith Hackett of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kathleen and Kendall Amidon of Palm City, and Sandra and Terry Smith of Denham Springs, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; a brother Lawrence Arter; a sister Trudy Mericle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
