Gordon Anderson Crater, 82, of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away at Salerno Bay Manor in Stuart.
Born June 14, 1934 in Princeton, New Jersey he was the son of Russell and Margaret Anderson Crater. He has resided in Hobe Sound since 2006 coming from New Jersey.
Gordon served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion.
Gordon retired after 42 years with Lockheed Martin working as a mechanical engineer with communication satellites division.
He was a member of Acacia Lodge #163, F & AM Masonic Lodge in Stuart and was a Shriner.
Gordon enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his happiest pastimes was riding his motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Helen Elizabeth; sons, Gordon A. Crater II and wife Patricia, and Andrew J. Crater; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Tyler and Tanner.
