Gordon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20 ^th at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Albert and Agnes Savill.  Gordon grew up in Indianapolis and attended Broad Ripple High School.  After graduating from Earlham College in 1960 with a degree in Economics, Gordon worked in Mortgage Banking in Indianapolis and Lexington, Kentucky. In 1970 Gordon relocated to the Washington D.C. area where he worked at HL Rust Company and then BF Saul Company. In 1999 Gordon and his wife, Helen, moved to the Treasure Coast.

In his retirement years he worked part time for Cotton and Company and for the last five years for Solaris Senior living as the activities bus driver. Gordon loved hockey, especially the Pittsburg Penguins, football, golf, and all professional sports.

He was an animal lover and was very involved with his dogs and canine activities with Helen. He was a volunteer with the Humane Society's Pet Therapy Program for the last 20 years. He was also a volunteer at Martin Memorial South.

Gordon will always be remembered as a kind man who was the first to lend a hand. He thought of others before he thought of himself.

Survivors include his wife Helen Savill, a stepson William Rogers and his wife Christine of Chesapeake VA, a grandson Daniel Rogers of Lillington NC, a granddaughter Lauren Cloninger and her husband Jake of Raleigh NC, and a sister Laura Yantis and her husband VJ of Lowell, FL.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2 PM at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart.
