Greta Knudsen, 87, of Stuart, Florida, was promoted to glory on February 24, 2021 at Treasure Coast Hospice.  Born in Kvinesdal, Norway on Syttende Mai, she grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and lived on Long Island, New York for 10 years before moving to Costa Mesa, California.  She started her career as a Legal Secretary on Wall Street, took time off to raise her small children, and then completed her career at law firms in California.  Upon retiring, she and her husband, Ernie, moved to Mesa, Arizona, where they enjoyed 15 years in their resort community.  They moved to Stuart, Florida in 2012.

Ernie and Greta have been married for 65 blissful years and intend to continue their marriage in Heaven for eternity.  She was also very loved by her children, grandchildren, siblings and her entire family.  She was also very blessed with many long-term friends.  Greta is remembered for her smile, laugh and sense of humor.

Greta is survived by her husband, Ernest "Ernie" Lloyd Knudsen, her daughter, Karen Walsh of Jupiter, Florida, her son, Steven Knudsen, and her daughter, Lori Smith (Ron) of Tacoma, Washington.  She has two grandsons:  Garrett Smith of Tacoma, Washington, and Zachry Knudsen of Orlando, Florida.  Her siblings are Terry Rafoss of Vallejo, California, Joan Maffei of Rohnert Park, California, Anny Pandolfo of Flowery Branches, Georgia and Richard Rafoss of Palm City, Florida.  She is predeceased by her parents Johan and Anna Rafoss of Brooklyn, New York, and her brother William Rafoss of Stuart, Florida.
