Guenter Herold, aged 73 years, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died March 21, 2014 at his home.
Born in Germany, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He was very active in arranging and participating in sporting events for the paralyzed veterans.
Beloved husband of Karen (nee De Young); loving father of Jim and Kathy Herold Mensik; beloved brother of Elfriede Wachsmuth (nee Herold); fond grandfather of Josephine and Jonas; and fond Uncle of many.
A Private Memorial will be held with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions as a memorial to Paralyzed Veterans of America, pva.org , 801 Eighteenth Street NW, Washington, DC 20006 (800-555-9140), would be appreciated by the family.
