Obituary

Harold N. Parent (Sonny), 76, of Stuart, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Treasure Coast Hospice with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Maine, June 24, 1942, the son of the late Edmond H. and Sylvia Parent.

Sonny was raised in Grand Isle, Maine. He retired in 2015 after 60 years in the produce business, servicing and delivering to markets all along the east coast, by way of "the road less traveled."

Sonny is survived by the mother of his children, Jacqueline Parent; his two daughters, Jacintha Civiello and husband, Joseph, Caroline Mancini and husband, Jeffrey, his son Harold Parent, Jr. and wife, Judy, his grandchildren, Anthony and Luke Mancini; three sisters Tania Bard, and husband, Paul, Tina Wiggett, Tricia Brown and husband, Dean, two brothers Kenneth Parent and wife Carol, Dale Parent and wife Sharon, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded on death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Richard Parent.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood ,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

And that has made all the difference.
