Harry James Heeren, age 71, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

A celebration of life will be held at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida on Saturday, February 3, 2018. The Family will receive friends between 10:00am-11:00am, with a formal service starting at 11:00am.  Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag by the United States Marines Military Honor Guard will follow.

Harry was born in Waterloo, Iowa and was a resident of Palm City for 32 years. Harry was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps serving in the Vietnam War. Throughout his life everything he did displayed his passion, love and respect for the Marine Corps.  Harry loved his cowboy movies, red wine, boating, doo-wop & Elvis music, and his dog, "Mattie Mo".

Part of his passion for the Marine Corps allowed him to reunite with the men who he served with in the Vietnam War. He loved his military family as much as he loved his own family. We are so thankful to these men who brought so much joy to Harry's life.

Harry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joanne; son James Heeren of Paradise Island, Bahamas; and daughter Brianna Elliott and Son-in-Law Jordan Elliott of Windermere, Florida. Also survived by his beloved nephew, Geoff Heeren and his wife Kathy Heeren; grand nephew, Cooper Heeren; grand niece, Jenna Heeren of Suwanee, Georgia; and niece Jennifer Heeren Pugh and her husband, David Pugh of Scottsdale, Arizona. Harry is also survived by many extended family members.
