Hector David Pagan-Ayala, 80, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at his home.
Born is Puerto Rico, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 5 years, coming from Miami, Florida.
He honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force, suffering injuries that left him permanently disabled. He was able to volunteer for the Veterans Administration in Puerto Rico.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Bertha M. Pagan, of Port Saint Lucie; step-son, Jullian Giraldo, of Port Saint Lucie; and grandson, Juan David Navarro, of Port Saint Lucie.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449, on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 2:45 pm. Those attending are asked to use Lane #5, at the Cemetery Entrance Office.
