Helen JoAnn Helmer, 89, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on September 29, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a resident of Hutchinson Island, Stuart for 20 years coming from Ramsey, New Jersey.

Before retiring she worked at Norton Lilly and Eye Lab as executive assistant.

She, along with her husband Gene, was very active in the American Legion Post 170 in Rochelle Park, NJ.

Survivors include her sons, William "Bill" Glaner and his wife, Munhui and Robert Glaner; her daughter Debra Glaner; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Glaner, Cassie Glaner and Emily Glaner and her cousin, Darrell Samartino.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Helmer.
