Henry "Hank" Frances Buchanan, age 72 of Jensen Beach/Sebastian, FL passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay Madeira House. Hank was born August 28, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Henry and Mary Ellen Buchanan. He worked for many years all over the country as a Physicist, spending 21 years with FPL at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant. In his spare time he was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, sailing, traveling and was a great inventor. Hank was very proud of his Irish heritage, spending time studying his ancestry, including several trips to Ireland. On February 8, 1997 in Stuart, FL, Hank was united in marriage to his loving wife, Bernice Buchanan, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Audra (Will) Bussey of Orlando, FL and his son, Charles (Melissa) Buchanan of Orlando, FL; his step-daughters, Julie (Brian) Longobardi of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jennifer (Bob) Dubraski of Jupiter, FL; his 2 granddaughters. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997.)
