Ignazio Cavallaro, age 82, of Montrose, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 10, 2024 in Stuart, Florida.

Born in Palermo, Sicily, he had been a resident of Montrose, Pennsylvania for 36 years. He had previously lived in Brooklyn, New York and Old Bridge, New Jersey.

He enlisted in the Marine Corp and served from 1959-1963. He was a proud Veteran.

Prior to retiring, he was a restaurant owner in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania; and small business owner, running a True Value hardware store in Rush, Pennsylvania for many years.

Ignazio was a lifelong artist and craftsman, always ready to create or repair or modify something in the home. He had an endless list of improvements to make and enjoyed hours at his workbench. He enjoyed life in the country and spent every summer gardening with his wife.

Survivors include his daughter Theresa (Jeff) Lakin, his son Eric (Maria) Cavallaro, and Roxanne (Mario) Meza.

He was preceded in his death by his wife, Maria Anna Cavallaro, just 19 weeks earlier (March 30, 2024).
