Ika Mae Wojcieszak, of Palm City, Florida, entered heaven on May 18 after living in Martin County for 53 years.

Ika was born October 31,1969 to Joseph V. (Ski) & Ika Mae Smith Wojcieszak in Stuart, FL.

She is pre-deceased by her father Joseph (Ski) Wojcieszak  and brother Joey Wojcieszak.

Survivors include her mother Mae Wojcieszak Curry, brothers, Kim (Kathy), David (Chris), Donovan (Olivia), Jerry (Lea Ann), Randy, & John (Marissa) Wojcieszak, many nieces, nephews,    Aunts; Ruth Maxwell and Annette Bush and Uncle; David Smith, along with numerous extended family, treasured friends, and Jay & Jayson Travis.

Ika enjoyed being a Pt. Salerno Panther Cheerleader in her early years…She was in the Class of 1988 at South Fork High School and played the trombone in the high school band.  Her work experience included  Martin Memorial Hospital Accounting Department,  Pal's Appliance Customer Service and Florida Power & Light Company for the past 26+ years where she received a "Champion of Excellence" Award for going above and beyond.

She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Pt. Salerno.  Her favorite scripture was John 3:16:  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

She had a wonderful, sweet spirit and a huge heart. Friendly with everyone throughout her life and a true blessing to all around her. She loved people and felt blessed to be a part of a large family growing up in Pt. Salerno.  She valued her church family and especially loved her job and her FP & L family.  Ika enjoyed cooking/baking, painting, crocheting and poetry.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 3 at 4 pm at First Baptist Church of Port Salerno.

In lieu of flowers Ika requested donations be sent to First Baptist Church of Pt. Salerno Missions Account.
