HOBE SOUND, FL – Irene ("Reenie") Clare Millar surrendered to the will of her Heavenly Father on May 21, 2021 in Stuart, FL.

Born June 26, 1943 in Madison, WI to Joseph and Eleanor Schlimgen, she leaves behind her devoted husband Jeff of 37 years to cherish her memories, along with sons Paul Kinney (Julie) of McFarland, WI, Rick Kinney (Terry) of Ft.Worth, TX, and Joseph Kinney of Oshkosh, WI, adored grandchildren Jessica Adkins (Kyle), Samantha Walber (Samuel), Kyle and Kevin Kinney, and precious great-grandchildren Olivia, Ethan, Eloise, and Leo.  She also is survived by her brother Phillip Schlimgen (Dawn) of Wis Rapids, WI and sisters Rita Shaw and Lucy Crook both of DeForest, WI  along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jeanette Oberding, Beverly Hall, and Evelyn McKee.

She and Jeff lived in Oconomowoc, WI before retiring and moving to FL some 14 years ago.  Known for her quick wit, she enjoyed boating while in WI and FL, was addicted to on-line brain teasers and crossword puzzles, and became a fan of contemporary jazz music and concerts.

Her family wishes to thank the many supportive friends, family, and doctors/nurses who helped her to courageously fight through a long battle with COPD and heart issues. Reenie leaves a legacy of strength, love and faith.

A celebration of her life will be held at Church and Chapel in Waukesha,WI  from Noon to 3pm on 7/23/21.  Memorial tributes may be made to your local American Heart Assn or the Okauchee Lake Sailing School.
