Obituary

Jack R. (Jay) Postle, Jr., 59, of Jensen Beach Florida, died on date September 07, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Hay Madeira House .

He was born to the late Patricia Postle and Jack Postle on July 25, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio. He spent the first two years of his life in Japan where his father was serving in the US Navy. Jay grew up in Columbus and Petoskey, Michigan and spent much of his adult life in Florida. He married Maureen Titcombe in 1988 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His son Patrick was born in 1989.

Jay had several jobs during his working life and particularly enjoyed carpentry and culinary arts. He attended Peter Kump's New York Cooking School and worked at several of the fine restaurants in the Jensen Beach and Stuart area. Jay always enjoyed preparing delicious meals for his family and friends and specialized in cooking seafood. He commented many times that he inherited his love of cooking from his mother Patricia.

Jay is survived by his son Patrick, brother Jeff, sister Linda, father Jack, niece Teresa, aunt Monny, and three cousins Herb, Katherine and Beth.

Throughout his life Jay enjoyed spending time with family and friends in both Michigan and Florida. He also loved music and played guitar and bass. In his high school days he attended Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan. Jay was also the proud owner of a Corvette in Michigan and a Harley in Florida.

The family is requesting that donations be made to Treasure Coast Hospice 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
