Obituary

Jack Rath, age 92 of Hobe Sound, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 05, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay Madeira House in Stuart. Jack was born March 29, 1921 in Easton, PA, son of the late George and Elsie (Mitman) Rath. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army, Signal Corps during WWII. He moved to Florida in 1980 from Mt. Lake, NJ after retiring from M & M Mars/ISG where he worked for 23 years as an Operations Manager. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge Dallas-Lafayette post no.396 and was a member of the Valley of Allentown Scottish Rite. Jack was also a long time member of the Stuart Congregational Church. Surviving are his daughters, Carol Forman of Mechanicsburg, PA and Janet (Douglas) Nicholas of Hobe Sound, FL; grandson, Jay (Jessie) Forman of Mattaponi, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Rath in 2011; brother, William and son-in-law, Frederick Forman. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania on a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997). Arrangements are by the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, FL.
