IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Thomas
Brogan
August 29, 1964 – April 7, 2022
James Thomas Brogan IV "Jimbo"
August 29, 1964-April 7, 2022
Born August 29, 1964 to James T. and Mary Elaine Brogan III in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived briefly in Cincinnati, Jacksonville, and Lighthouse Point, Florida before his parents settled in Palm City, Florida.
Jimbo was a very happy-go-lucky child. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, John Carroll High School (1982), and the University of West Georgia. He played football and basketball throughout his school years. He was also an avid fisherman of all sorts. If he wasn't working with his dad in the insurance industry, he fished with him on the family charter boat Mustache Man, along with many other charter and private sport fishing boats. He was an extremely hard worker no matter what he was doing! His first "LOVE" was definitely the ocean!! You may have seen him once or twice out there in his pink hat!
He married Leigh Ann (Neild) on October 16, 1989. They lived in Palm City for 8 years before settling in Hobe Sound where they raised Lauren B and James T V. Jimbo absolutely loved and adored his children. He either spoke or saw them every single day, no matter where in this world they may have been. The family spent many days vacationg together, where so many amazing memories were made. He was a very "hands on" daddy; and supported his children in so many ways. He also loved having a house (shed) full of the kids friends. So many Stories!
Jimbo is survived by his mother Maralane, wife Leigh Ann, his brother Patrick, children Lauren (Wesley); and Jimbo. Brother in-laws Mark and Tommy (Valeri) Neild, mother in law Nancy Neild and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved all dearly. He had a brand new pride and joy – granddaughter Finleigh Suzanne, whom he was able to meet and hold.
In lieu of flowers, the family is in the process of setting up the "Jimbo Brogan Pink Hat" perpetual award to be given out at one of his favorite sailfish tournaments. Details to follow at his celebration of life. We also hope you will wear pink to his celebration!
Till we meet again Jimbo – we will always love you… You were the biggest and best catch ever – "It's been a slice"
Arrangements are under the direction of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, Stuart.
