James "Jim" E. Swanson, 49, of Jensen Beach, Florida, died suddenly at his home on January 08, 2014.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Jensen Beach for 5 years, coming from Clermont, Florida.

A Printer by trade, he was employed by Southeastern Printing in Palm City, prior to his death, and was also a skilled master carpenter for many years.

Jim was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cathy Swanson, of Jensen Beach; one son, Brett Gump, of Clermont: one daughter, Kelsey Gump, of Clermont; his mother, Barbara Ann McCormick, of Jensen Beach; one brother, Gilbert "Skip" Dreger, of Pittsburgh: two sisters, Diane Cheeks, of Summerfield, Florida, and Cheryl Butya, of Avella, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Robert "Bob" Swanson.

The Family will receive friends Saturday, January 11, 2014, from 11:00-1:00 pm at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida, where a Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Jerry E. Herald at 1:00 pm.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
