James Edward Melear
Age 75 of Palm City, FL, died Monday, January 1, 2013 at Parkway Rehabilitation Center in Stuart. Born in Arley, Alabama, he had been a resident of Palm City for forty eight years, coming from Boynton Beach, FL. Prior to retirement, he owned Melear Dairies in Palm City. He was an avid quail hunter and was a member of a hunting club in Highlands County, FL. He also owned and operated M&M Quail Farm in Gainesville, GA and loved to fish.
Surivors include his wife, Raynel Melear of Palm City, FL; three sons, James Van Melear of Washington, D.C. and Michael Melear of Atlanta, GA and Stuart Smith of Palm City, FL; one daughter, Mary Anne Melear in Atlanta, GA;. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart with a reception to follow immediately following the services.
